PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial joint constituent element which is hard to break, and a method.;SOLUTION: The artificial joint constituent element 10 has a first arm 12, a second arm 14 and a joint member 16 inserted between them. Then, the joint member is constituted in such a manner that a bending motion between the first arm and the second arm can be performed, and has a first indented surface 18 and a second indented surface 20. Also, in the first indented surface, a plurality of arc-shaped parts 26 and 28 are formed.
