PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing β-L-homofuconojirimycin using a microorganism having productivity of the β-L-homofuconojirimycin.;SOLUTION: The β-L-homofuconojirimycin is efficiently produced by a mold belonging to the genus Penicillium, especially a Penicillium sp. AB5577 strain.
