PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method or device of tomography using panoramic X-ray apparatus, capable of radiographing a subject with the same thickness of tomography as the film photography, especially in the transverse radiography, while considering reduction of the dose of X-ray exposure and burden on a subject by using a line-shaped digital sensor.;SOLUTION: The axial center of rotation of a swivel arm of an X-ray source and an image receiving device, disposed to face each other with an object of radiography in-between, is linearly moved in one direction momentarily while rotating in the selected range of swinging angles on a tomographic surface of the object of radiography or on a line parallel to the surface, and the object of radiography is scanned and radiographed at the speed corresponding to the speed of the image receiving device scanning the tomographic surface. A series of the similar motions mentioned above are repeated once or a plurality of times to radiograph the necessary range of radiography of the tomographic surface of the object of radiography, and the obtained image data are displayed as consecutive images by the image processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
