PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butene oligomer derivative which is a macromonomer having a terminal functional 1,4-butane diol group and capable of reacting in polycondensation and in polyaddition. ;SOLUTION: This derivative has a hydrocarbon main chain of which at least 80 mol% of repeating structural units are -CH2C(CH3)2- units. One terminal group of the derivative is tertiary butyl; and at least 60 mol% of the other is a functional group of a 1,4-butanediol type.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
