PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the structure of a tank connecting ring and to adjust local stresses applied to a support structure thereof in a mooring area thereof.;SOLUTION: The invention relates to watertight and thermally insulating tanks C and C' built into a ship bearing structure and having a primary watertight barrier 28 and a secondary watertight barrier 23. The watertight barriers comprise thin sheet metals 28 having low coefficients of expansion and connected to each other by upwardly turned edges.
