AN INSTALLATION FOR CATCHING WHITE CLAM

The installation for catching white clam makes possible the white clam catching to be realized without interfering with the total ecosystem of the sea and river bottom. The installation comprises an air-compressor (1), whose pressure outlet is connected to a tube (2), the lower end of which has a tip (3) made out of two crossed cones (4,5) facing each other with their wider bases, The narrow baseof the lower crossed cone (4) is open towards the sand bottom, while the narrow base of the upper crossed cone (5) is fastened to the lower end of an excavator tube (6), whose diameter is bigger thanthe one of the first tube (2) for the pressed air supply. The upper end of the excavator tube (6) enters the inner volume of the basket (7) with the grid bottom (8), while to the upper cover of the basket (7) is fastened a float (9). On the lower side of the first tube (2), in the space where the wide bases of the cones (4, 5) are connected, the openings (10) are made for directing the flow of the pressed air upwards along the excavator tube (6).
