A METHOD AND A DEVICE FOR PERFORMING MOLECULAR ABSORPTION SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC ANALYSIS IN THE VISIBLE SPECTRUM PART

The method and device relates to chemical analysis of low substance concentrations. The analysis is carried out by letting through the solution polychromatic light from the visible part of the spectrum. Measurement is made of the solution colouring intensity, obtained by the selective absorption of monochromatic light by the solution. To a lightly coloured solution corresponds lower concentrationof the solution, and respectively, to darker colouration of the solution û higher concentration. The device for performing the analysis consists of a source of polychromatic visible light, which is to pass through the solution, a cell holder with cells, in which to be inserted the solutions, a CCD detector, helping in determination of the solution colouring intensity, and a personal computer withespecially created for the purpose computer programme, by which to be determined the saturation of the solution colouring and its concentration.
