Food additive affecting the bacterial infection of the lower urinary tract, which as an effective ingredient contains mixture of max. 99.999975% lyophilized berries and/or juice from large cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) and 0.00000025 to 0.0694% vitamin D in the form of ergocalciferol D2 or cholecalciferol D3 or mixtures thereof D2/D3. Its effect is to increase the surface resistance, i.e. of the epithelium, against the forming of colonies of uropathogenic bacteria.
