Methods for obtaining location data and to calculate the location of a terminal in a mobile radio communications network for radio system, and radio mobile terminal. A method and system for estimating the location of a mobile radio terminal in a radio communications network.The method provides for the collection of measures parameters of radio signal in the mobile radio terminal which are then processed and transmitted to a processor of the network to calculate the location of the mobile radio terminal. The measures collected can be filtered and subconj untos measures can also be selected according to their fitness for particular applications.
