LOCATION REPORT WITH SAFE USER PLAN (SUPL) LOCATION. Techniques for supporting periodic location services and others with Secure User Plan Location (SUPL) and other location architectures are described. The techniques may provide position estimates for a SUPL-enabled (SET) terminal to a SUPL agent periodically and / or based on trigger events. A Native SUPL Localization Platform (H-SLP) receives from the SUPL agent a request for position estimates for SET. H-SLP initiates a SUPL localization session with SET. For each of at least one reporting event during the localization session, H-SLP obtains a position estimate for SET and sends the position estimate to the SUPL agent. Position estimation can be derived by SET and sent to H-SLP. Alternatively, position estimation can be derived by H-SLP based on measurements from SET.
