METALO- 225 -LACTAMASE INHIBITOR, PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION, PROCESS FOR TREATING BACTERIAL INFECTIONS, COMPOUND, AND, USE OF THE SAME A metallo- 225 -lactamase inhibitor which can inactivate an 225 lactam and antibiotic is described recover the anti-bacterial activity of the 225 -lactam antibiotic. A derivative of maleic acid, having a structure of general formula (1) has an inhibitory activity against metallo-β-lactamase. The use of compound (l), in combination with a 225 -lactam antibiotic, makes it possible to recover the anti-bacterial activity of the 225 -lactam antibiotic, against a bacterium capable of producing metallo- 225 -lactamase .
