STABILIZED LATIN CARBONATE COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR TREATING HYPERPHOSPHEMIA. Stabilized lanthanum carbonate compositions containing a monosaccharide or disaccharide stabilizing agent are disclosed. Subjects having hyperphosphatemia may be treated by administering a pharmaceutical composition containing a therapeutically effective amount of the stabilized lanthanum carbonate formulation.
