NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCE, EXPRESSION VECTOR, MAMMALIAN CELL, METHOD FOR EXPRESSING IL-15 IN A MAMMALIAN CELL, AND METHODS TO IMPROVE STABILITY AND INDUSTRIAL POTENTIUS IN IL-15 A GUY IN NEED OF THE SAME. The present invention provides improved nucleic acids for interleukin-15 (IL-15) expression in mammalian cells. The invention further provides methods of expressing IL-15 in mammalian cells by transfecting the cell with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an improved IL-15 sequence. The present invention further provides expression vectors, and combinations of IL-15 and IL-15 alpha receptor (nucleic acid and protein) that increase the stability and potency of IL-15 in vitro and in vivo. The present methods are useful for the bioavailability and enhanced biological effects of IL-15 following administration of DNA, RNA or protein to a patient (e.g., a mammal, a human).
