CHANNEL ESTIMATE METHOD USING LINEAR INTERPOLATION SCHEME IN ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISK MULTIPLEXING SYSTEM USING THE SAME A channel estimation method and a channel estimation apparatus are disclosed, and a receiver is used. The channel estimation apparatus provided at the receiver detects pilot signals from radio signals and estimates the channels of the detected pilot signals. The channel estimation apparatus estimates the channels corresponding to the data by conducting linear interpolation, which allows simultaneous interpolation on time and frequency axes by using the information on the evaluated pilot channels. In this way, the memory capacity required for the receiver can be reduced by using channel estimation on which simultaneous interpolation is conducted. In addition, receiver performance can be further enhanced in a wireless environment where the receiver travels at high speeds.
