Composito biodegradable obtained from starch and glycerol incorporated with short chain organic acids with different optical properties, the present invention relates to the production of blends of starch and glycerol containing in its composition and organic acids of short chains.The presence of these compounds showed an improvement in the mechanical properties and optics in relation to the polymer of origin, as well as the incorporation of inherent properties of short chain organic acid present as antioxidant, antibacterial and antimicrobial.In addition, the material obtained is biodegradable, uses materials from renewable natural resources, allowing for less dependence on oil reserves; and by using industrial waste for its production is an alternative to the use of glycerol, the main R Esu00edduo generated in production of biodiesel.The blend obtained can be used in packaging that protects food by bactericidal action or anti microbial, plasticulture and for several other applications, provided that the glycerol used to be purified.
