The pressurized fluid flow created in wind turbines by means of wind-driven pumps (wind pumps) is used to produce rated electricity through hydraulic motors or constant-speed turbines and with adjustable torque, which alternate and / or simultaneously drive rated electric generators depending on the wind capacity available. The use of positive displacement pumps, which drive rotors with a fixed angle of attack of the blades to maximize the capture of wind energy, provides support for the high speed of the ends of the rotor blades in a range that provides a high power factor through the flow of elevated pressure in wind installations. Another field of application for wind turbines with wind-driven pumps is to create a variable flow fluid flow at a fixed pressure as a function of the available wind power, which can be used to lift water, as well as to desalinate salt water by reverse osmosis.
