A new gene, a recombinant expression vector containing this gene, a polypeptide encoded by this gene, and its use are proposed. This gene can effectively increase the resistance of plants and microorganisms to abiotic stresses, such as stress caused by drought, acid-base, salt alkaline and heat stress. Also provided are methods for producing transgenic plants and microorganisms. These methods are simple and effective. Transgenic plants and microorganisms show increased resistance to environmental stresses.
