ALIGNER FOR DEFINING THE ACCURATE POSITION OF A STRIKE IN SLIDING SASHES-METHOD FOR THE PLACING OF STRIKE PLATES VIA SAID ALIGNER

Subject: aligner for defining the accurate position of the strike plate 2 of the lock of a sliding sash 4. Constitution: a parallelepiped body 2 having its length and width similar to the length and width of the strike plate 2 and comprising the first side 6 with the opening 7 wherein engages the projecting securing bolt 3 of the installed sliding sash 4 (first step) and the second side 8 being set in opposite and parallel disposition as to the first and having the extending pairs of ears 9a,9b adequately configurated to snap onto the sides 11a,11b of the projecting section 11 of the frame 10 (second step) when the sliding sash is in closed condition via the bolt being adapted into the aligner 3; said aligner has also a pair of cylindrical channels with through holes 12a,12b allowing the introduction of a drilling device of adequate caliber for the opening -onto the projecting section 11- of holes accomodating the fixing of the strike plate 2 (third step).
