ABSTRACT Acalypha indica herb has medicinal properties which are commonly used in Siddha and Ayurvedha against asthma, pneumonia, anemetic and anthelminthic. Acalypha indica leaves have been collected and shade dried for a period of multiple days. The dried leaves have been grinded to obtain fine particles employing the milling technique by controlling different parameters such as milling speed, milling time, number of milling balls and medium. The nanoherbal particles obtained from the herbal plant have been characterised employing Particle size analyzer, TEM, AFM and FTIR. The nanoherbal particles {Acalypha indica) have been produced in the range of 1 - 100 nm by controlling the process parameters. The obtained nanoparticles show spherical surface morphology which is more useful for antimicrobial activity. The herbal nanoparticles obtained have been coated on textile fabrics and its anti microbial activity has been checked.
