METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND DISASTER RECOVERY BETWEEN A PRIMAY DATA CENTRE AND A SANCONDARY DATA CENTRE WITH ZERO RECOVERY POINT OBJECTIVE(ZERO RPO).
The present invention provides a method and system for business continuity or disaster recovery solution with zero Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and negligible Recovery Time Objective (RTO). The system consists of 3-node architecture - one primary site, a secondary site and a staging site and a network interface to couple these three sites. The primary and secondary sites host at least one database server with at least one continuously available software application- and storage device for storing data. The primary and secondary site has data replicator sub-system coupled with database server and the staging site has data staging sub-system. The application data through database server is synchronously replicated from the primary site to the staging site and semi-synchronously replicated from the staging site to the secondary site. This mix of synchronous and semi-synchronous replication ensures zero RPO and near-zero RTO.
