Water is incompressible if confined in space of an inflexible container having 5 sides closed and 6th side open for filling and then plugged with an airtight rigid plate which later carries R.C.C. road over it for normal traffic. Under pressure water tries to escape but can't. Water thus confined and being incompressible supports the load through rebound and keeps the road afloat. River/ Nallah sand both make suitable alternative for water because of their incompressibility. As such sand is placed in a concrete container and plugged with concrete top. Over the concrete plug RCC road is constructed which floats over sand like on water and easily carries surface traffic load for which it's designed. The distance between road surface and container bottom is nearly 1.0 M. The wheel load gets dispersed at 45degrees over an area of nearly 2.50 M x 2.25 M and the resultant pressure is about 1.50 T/ sqm due to live load and nearly 3.0 T/sqm due to self weight. Any natural strata of soil will easily take 4.5 T/sqm. Hence design is suitable for the entire country irrespective of nature of strata so long it's natural and the cost of such a road is Rs. 3650 /- per sqm of road surface at the present market rate and affordable as it is maintenance free and unbreakable and can easily be branded as 5th generation road.
