A NOVEL HERBAL COMPOSITION EFFECTIVE AGAINST CORYZA AND A PROCESS FOR PREPARING THEREOF

This invention relates to a novel herbal composition effective against coryza (Common Cold) comprising of Barg-e-Tulsi (Ocimum Sanctum Linn.) in an amount of 90-125 mg, Darchini (Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Blume) in an amount of 90-125 mg, Satte Ajwani (Ptychotic ajowan DC) in an amount of 95-105 mg, Zanjabeel (zingiber officinale Rose) in an amount of 90-125 mg and Satte Gilo (Tynospora cordifolia willd) in an amount of 95-130 mg. and also this invention relates to a process for preparation of a novel herbal composition effective against coryza (Common Cold) as claimed in claim 1 comprising steps of extraction of Berg-e-Tulsi, Darchini and Zanjabeel by using purified water as solvent followed by evaporation to get concentrated mass, extraction of satt-e-Gilo followed by filtration to obtain filtrate which is concentrated to viscous mass, mixing satt-e-Ajwani with rectified sprit, followed by addition of filler such as light kaolin in the range of 25-40% and preservative such as Sodium Benzoate in the range of 0.1-0.15%, followed by drying.
