The invention relates to chemistry and biotechnology, namely to the synthesis of a new coordinative compound from the class of salicylideneaminoalcoholates of transition metals and to a process for the cultivation of cyanobacterium Spirulina platensis.It is claimed: a new coordinative compound, bromo-{3-[(2-hydroxy-5-nitro-benzylidene)-amino]-propane-1,2-dihydroxy}(1-)copper of the formula:and a process for the cultivation of cyanobacterium Spirulina platensis, which includes cultivation on a Zarrouk nutrient medium, containing, g/L: NaNO3 - 2.5; NaHCO3 -16.8; NaCl -1.0; K2SO4 - 1.0; K2HPO4 - 0.5; MgSO4·7H2O - 0.2; CaCl2 - 0.04; FeSO4·7H2O - 0.01; EDTA - 0.08; H3BO3 - 0.00286; MnCl2·4H2O - 0.00181; ZnSO4·7H2O - 0.00022; CuSO4·5H2O - 0.00008; MoO3 - 0.000015 and distilled water to 1L, at pH 9.5…10.0, at a temperature of 32°C, light of 2000…3000 lx, at the same time on the 2nd day of cultivation is added the specified coordinative compound, in a concentration of 5…6 mg/L.The technical result is to increase the copper content in the biomass of cyanobacterium Spirulina platensis up to 10.39…11.14 mg%, and to reduce the length of cultivation up to 7 days.
