The object of the invention is to establish a partnership, which includes a bisulfite comprising a formula (VI) or a precursor thereof and artemisinin or a derivative thereof. The object of the invention is also to realize a pharmaceutical component, which at least comprises a disulfide hydrazide salt, comprising a formula (VI) or one of its precursors, and artemisinin or a derivative thereof. Another purpose of the invention is to use this partnership to develop drugs to treat or prevent severe malaria. The ultimate goal of the invention is to develop a toolkit for the treatment or prevention of severe malaria.
