Combination of renin and NEP inhibitors for treating diseases mediated by angiotenson II and NEP activity

Disclosed is combination of (a) a renin inhibitor of formula (III) wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, (b) a neutral endopeptidase (NEP) inhibitor selected from N-(3-carboxy-1-oxopropyl)-4(S)-p-phenylphenylmethyl)-4-amino-(2R)-methylbutanoic acid ethyl ester, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or N-(3-carboxy-1-oxopropyl)-(4S)-p-phenylphenylmethyl)-4-amino-(2R)-methylbutanoic acid, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and optionally at least one therapeutic agent selected from the group consisting of (c) a diuretic, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and (d) and angiotension II receptor blocker (ARB), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
