The invention relates to a process of purification of a bio-diesel fuel. According to the invention, the process comprises the extraction with de-ionized glycerol of the bio-diesel fuel obtained by the ester interchange of triglycerides with lower alcohols in basic catalysis in a glycerol:fuel volumetric ratio of 1:1...1:6, at a temperature of 50...65°C, followed by methanol removal by vaporization at a temperature of 135...140°C and a pressure of 400 torr, for 30 min, the extraction of glycerol and alkalinity traces with demineralized water, the product being then subjected to water evaporation and finally to filtration, thereby resulting a fuel containing in mass percentage 0.25% total glycerol, 0.02% free glycerol, 0.2% methanol and an acid value of 0.5 KOH/g.
