摘要
The invention relates to a device for simulating the orthodontic treatment for educational purposes, for thorough study and improvement of specific techniques of orthodontic treatment with fixed polyaggregated apparatus, in artificial anatoform metal teeth replacing the natural teeth within the device and to a method for making the wax rim with sockets and including the teeth therein. According to the invention, the device consists of two maxillary components (A and B), two mandibular components (C and D) and a connecting component (E) placed between the maxillary components and the mandibular components (A, B and C, D). The teeth as claimed by the invention consist of a body (8) provided at their upper part with a crown (a) and on the vestibular surface (b) with a blind circular truncated cone-shaped hole (c), whose surface (d) of larger diameter is placed at the bottom of the hole (c), while, in a radicular truncated cone-shaped portion (e) located in the apical third, there is provided an open circular channel (f). The method claimed by the invention employs a silicone mould comprising a cylindrical body (28) in which there is cut a blind hole (g) which is laterally confined in its upper part by a wall (h) having the contour and height of some plates (6 and 19) comprised within the maxillary and mandibular components (B and D), while, in its lower part it is confined by a horizontal resting surface (i) of the plates (6 and 19), the hole (g) being continued at its lower part with a wall (j) having the contour and height of the wax rims (7 and 20), at the base there being provided some sockets (k) confined by a wall (l) having the contour of the crown (a), and consists in placing the artificial metal teeth into the sockets (k) with the radicular portion (e) upwards, the contact being made at the level of the wall (l) with the contour of the crown (a), followed by laying the plates (6 and 19) at the level of the resting surface (i) and finally pouring the wax to obtain the wax rims (7 and 20).
