The present invention relates to a stable biocompatible composition comprising: (a) a carriers selected from the group consisting of fats and oils and (b) [60]fullerene, wherein the fullerene is dissolved in said carrier. The above composition may be used to protect metazoans against damages caused by oxidative stress involving free radicals.
