METHOD FOR CORRECTING THORACIC DEFORMITY

A method for correcting thoracic deformity provides for two transverse incisions along median axillary lines and one vertical transsternal incision, the mobilization of the retrosternal space, resection of the ribs and the sternum, and insertion of the correcting device into the tunnel made in such a way. In addition, metal ligatures are passed subchondrally on both sides of sternum, and the transverse supracostal cuts are made, 1- in depth, in the projection of the necks of the ribs IV-V or V-VI. The correcting device is designed as T-shaped arched plate with distal and proximal stabilizers. The sternum is pulled up and attached to the center of T-shaped arched plate with spongious screw. The stabilizers are attached to the ribs with the metal ligatures.
