METHOD FOR ASSESSING VASCULAR REMODELING IN ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION

摘要

A method for assessing the vascular remodeling in the arterial hypertension comprises the quantitative assessment of intima-media complex of the common carotid artery and the layer-buy-layer assessment of intima and media. The exogenicity of intima is comparable with that of the tissues surrounding the blood vessel. The size of media is comparable with the lumen of the blood vessel. The superiority of media thickness over that of intima is regarded as the criterion of remodeling according to hypertrophic type in the arterial hypertension.
