METHOD FOR TESTING INSECTICIDAL ACTION OF PREPARATIONS ON FUNGUS GNATS

A method for testing the insectidal action of preparations on the sciarid fungus gnats consists in that the fungus gnats are disposed into Petri dishes with germinated oyster mushroom mycelium by 10-20 wigglers and treated with insecticidal preparations by an atomization method. It is carried out on a nutrient medium, onto which wigglers of a certain species of fungus gnats, in particular Bradysia pilistriata Frey. (Sciaridae), grown especially for this purpose (of test culture). The results of a rapid test can be obtained at least in 3 days at a temperature of 20 ± 2 °C. The metatoxic action is determined in 14 days.
