Method for study of mitochondria breathing in situ in conformity to which the cell plazmamembrane is permeabilised by digitin, a nonionic detergent, the degree of plazmamembrane permeability is controlled, and the oxygen uptake rate is polarigraphically registered; according to utility model permeabilisation is performed using the detergent optimum quantity which is in constant correlation with the examined cells number, and which is determined empirically for each tissue and each cell type.
