A method for the graduated decompression of extrahepatic bile ducts provides for the drainage of the common bile duct after cholecystectomy. The drainage is performed via the stump of the cystic duct or choledochotomic opening through the distal division of the common bile duct, the greater duodenal papilla, the duodenum, and exteriorized according to Felker technique using the double-barreled draining tube 0.7- in diameter with the inflatable cuff at the top.
