A method for evaluating the effectiveness of treatment with quinapril of patients with coronary artery disease with angina pectoris and hypertension with diastolic dysfunction of the left ventricle of "hypertrophic" type comprises the comparison of patients before and after treatment. Before thr treatment with quinapril to a patient at rest the Doppler echocardiography is performed and the transmitral blood flow is determined by measuring the rate of early diastolic filling. After treatment with quinapril the similar study is performed. If the rate of early diastolic left ventricular filling will increase by 11% or more compared with the rate before treatment, the hemodynamic and antianginal effect results are evaluated as positive.
