METHOD FOR ASSESSING CHANGES OF LEVEL OF GINGIVAL EDGE OF ABUTMENT IN FIXED PROSTHETIC APPLIANCE

A method for assessing the changes of the level of the gingival edge of abutment in the fixed prosthetic appliance comprises the examination of the abutment teeth. In dynamics of the observations, the distance of the tooth from the cutting edge to the marginal edge of gingiva is measured from four sides. The distance from the marginal edge of gingival to the bottom of epithelial and connective tissue attachment of the tooth is also measured. The total height of the tooth is then measured. The data are compared, and the changes of the level of the gingival edge in the specified area of the defect within the observation time are assessed.
