The invention relates to means 0f geo-physics. Method for operative reveal of earthquake that approaches by measured values of temperature of the upper layers of atmosphere includes measurement of values of electronic concentration of layer F of ionosphere by means of ion probe, measured values of electronic concentration are compared to background values, at reveal of area with increased values of electronic concentration one makes decision on possibil9i8ty of future earthquake. By means of ion probe that is placed on surface of earth one measures value of electronic concentration of controlled layer of upper atmosphere by period of time from 0to 3hours at night, by measured values of electronic concentration of controlled layer of the upper atmosphere one determines its temperature, with calculation of average value, by period of time from 0to 3hours at night, value of temperature of controlled layer of the upper atmosphere, average value temperature of controlled layer of upper atmosphere obtained is compared to pre-calculated average value of temperature of controlled layer of upper atmosphere, at average value of temperature of controlled layer of upper atmosphere exceeding value 1.15 of pre-calculated one, one makes decision on reveal of future earthquake that approaches. The invention provides increase of reliability and decrease of time to obtain information on earthquake that approaches.
