ABSTRACTThe present invention relates to Mg-Al-based or Mg-Zn-Al-based hydrotalcite-type compound particles comprising soluble anions in a total amount of not more than 70 ppm; a stabilizer for chlorine-containing resins comprising the hydrotalcite-type compound particles for stabilizing a chlorine-containing resin composition; and a chlorine-containing resin composition comprising a chlorine-containing resin and the hydrotalcite-type compound particles which are incorporated in the chlorine-containing resin. The hydrotalcite-type compound particles are produced by adjusting a pH value of a slurry obtained after producing and aging the hydrotalcite-type compound particles to 9.5 to 12; and then subjecting the hydrotalcite-type compound particles to washing and drying.
