Complex virus-targeting ligand to a cell for the delivery of a virus to a target cell within a host animal, wherein said complex virus-ligand consists of a ligand and a virus, and wherein the ligand is bound non-covalently to the virus and is transferrin, transferrin receptor antibody, a fragment of a transferrin receptor, EGF or VEGF.
