Virus recombinant dengue rDEN1Δ30 or rDEN2Δ30 attenuated containing a 30 nucleotide deletion (Δ30) in a section of the untranslated region 3 'of the type 1 or 2 dengue genome wherein said 30 nucleotide deletion corresponds to the structure TL2 stem-loop between nucleotides 10562-10591 for dengue type 1 and stem-loop structure between nucleotides 10541-10570 TL2 for dengue type 2.
