Method of detecting nucleic acid sequences to detect the presence of a nucleic particular target (10) to be detected in a sample, the method comprising acid: a step of immobilizing anchoring oligonucleotide strands (12, 14) on a substrate (16) by immobilizing one of the 5'- and 3 'thereof on the substrate; a step of forming reticulated space to perform, based on a set of the oligonucleotide strands (12, 14), the immobilization step and bind the oligonucleotide strands to their respective complementary portions of the sequence of target nucleic acid ( 10) to form a crosslinked structure on plural sets to form a finely reticulated space (20) in the substrate, wherein a plurality of cross-linked structures are intertwined with each other; a capture step of capturing a ligand (22) by the reticulated space (20) through physical adsorption; a step of coloring to make the captured ligand (22) is colored with an active substance reactive to the ligand; and a detection step of detecting a color signal derived from the coloring to detect the target nucleic acid sequence (10).
