A method of disconnecting a UE when a transfer is made between a 3GPP network and a non-3GPP network, characterized in that it comprises: the transfer of a user equipment UE from a source network to a target network, where the source network is a 3GPP network, 3rd Generation Association Project, and the target network being a non-3GPP network; the reception, by a mobility management entity, MME of the source network, of a support suppression request message sent by a service gateway GW of the source network that transmits a cause IE; the suppression, by the MME, of support resources; when the MME finds that all support resources of the UE are suppressed, the determination, by the MME, that it is convenient to disconnect the UE from the source network if the cause IE, transmitted by the support suppression request message received, it is represented as "UEs accessing RATs changed from a 3GPP network to a non-3GPP network"; or the transfer of an UE user equipment from a source network to a target network, where the source network is a non-3GPP network and the target network is a 3GPP network; the reception, by a non-3GPP gateway, called GW non-3GPP of the source network, of a link cancellation indication message sent by a packet data network gateway, PDN GW, which transmits a cause IE; the suppression, by the non-3GPP GW, of the support resources; when the non-3GPP GW gateway finds that all support resources of the UE are suppressed, the determination by the non-3GPP GW gateway, that it is convenient to disconnect the UE from the source network if the cause IE transmitted in the indication message Link override is represented as "UEs accessing RATs switched from a non-3GPP network to a 3GPP network".
