A composite prepreg comprising: A) reinforcing fibers; and B) a matrix comprising: a) a difunctional epoxy resin: b) a multifunctional aromatic epoxy resin with a functionality greater than two, said multifunctional aromatic epoxy resin at least one phenyl group is meta-substituted. c) insoluble thermoplastic materials; d) thermoplastic toughening agent; e) a curing agent, in which "insoluble thermoplastic particles" means a thermoplastic material in powder form, atomised or particle form and remain substantially in particulate form in the matrix of the prepreg resin prior to curing and wherein the prepreg is covered on both sides with a protective film.
