The invention relates to a combination, such as a combined preparation orpharmaceutical composition, respectively,which comprises nateglinide (1) or repaglinide and at least one otherantidiabetic compound selected from the group consisting ofthiazolidinedione derivatives (glitazones), sulfonyl urea derivatives andmetformin for simultaneous, separate or sequential use inthe prevention, delay of progression or treatment of diseases, especiallymetabolic disorders and in particular type 2 diabetes anddiseases and conditions associated with diabetes; to a composition,respectively, which comprises nateglinide and a pharmaceuticallyacceptable carrier and to a process of making such composition; the use ofsuch combination or composition for the preparation of amedicament for the prevention, delay of progression or treatment of metabolicdisorders; a method of prevention, delay of progressionor treatment of diseases in warm-blooded animals; the uses of such combinationor composition for the cosmetic treatment of amammal in order to effect a cosmetically beneficial loss of body weight; andto a method of improving the bodily appearance of awarm-blooded animal.
