Isolated nucleic acid molecules, designated MP nucleic acid molecules, whichencode novel MP proteins form Corynebacterium glutamicum are described. Theinvention also provides antisense nucleic acid molecules, recombinantexpression vectors containing MP nucleic acid molecules, and host cells intowhich the expression vectors have been introduced. The invention still furtherprovides isolated MP proteins, mutated MP proteins, fusion proteins, antigenicpeptides and methods for the improvement of production of a desired compoundfrom C. glutamicum based on genetic engineering of MP genes in this organism.
