The invention relates to an assembly part for an adapter of a PEG tube, whichon its distal end comprises an internal retaining part that is supported onthe stomach wall and which has an open proximal end. The adapter has anexternal retaining part, which is supported on the abdominal wall of thepatient, comprising elements for connecting the PEG tube and for connecting aconduction system to the tube. The assembly part (3) is configured as a loosespacer part for the external retaining part (5) of the adapter (2) for placingon the abdominal wall and fixes the PEG tube to prevent it from sliding backduring the connection of the adapter to the tube. In a preferred embodiment,the assembly part consists of a retaining housing (14) and a retaining clip(15). The invention also relates to an adapter for a PEG tube, which comprisesan assembly part of this type.
