APPARATUS FOR FLUSHING, REPLACING FLUID AND BLEEDING HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS

A hydraulic system servicing apparatus (10) includes an old fluid holdingvessel (114) and a new fluid supply vessel (100) with a selector valve (92)which draws fluid from the holding vessel during flushing operations and drawsfluid from the supply vessel during fluid replacement and bleeding operations.A pump (102) moves the fluid through the selector valve (92) and supplies itto a flow reversing valve (66) which has a master cylinder line (76) and aplurality of bleeder valve lines (40,42,44,46) for connection to the hydraulicsystem. A shutoff valve (48,50,52,54,56) is provided in each bleeder valveline for directing fluid through the different branches of the hydraulicsystem. To flush the system, the flow reversing valve (66) is cycled tocirculate the fluid from the old fluid holding vessel (114) in oppositedirections and return it to the old fluid holding vessel. To replace the fluidand bleed the system, the fluid selector valve directs new fluid through theflow reversing valve into the system.
