A break-open game ticket comprises a thin backing layer and a front tab layer.The thinbacking layer has a front face and a back face, a display area on the frontface of the thin backing layer, anda perimeter area generally surrounding the display area There is at least oneimage displayed on the displayarea. The front tab layer has a front face and a back face, and includes aplurality of tabs each having a backend portion secured to the thin backing layer and a movable tab portiondefined by a peripheral edge. Thebacking layer and the front tab layer are secured one to the other at theperimeter areas such that the frontface of the thin backing layer and the back face of the front tab layer faceeach other such that the displayarea is generally covered by the plurality of tabs. The movable tab portionsconnect one to another at theperipheral edges to together define a continuous open area for viewing thedisplay area.
