A PT diametral creep prediction method of CANDU includes classifying creepdata consisting of input-output data pairs (x1,.multidot., x4, y r) fromnuclear power plants intotraining data and verification data; inputting arbitrary variables at aninitial time to operatea genetic algorithm to randomly generate an initial chromosome includingmembershipfunction parameters; calculating a fitness function of the genetic algorithm;determiningwhether a degree of fitness of the fitness function is greater than apredetermined value;altering the variables through genetic manipulation including selection,crossing andmodification to continuously improve the genetic algorithm, if the degree offitness of thefitness function is less than the predetermined value; generating a membershipfunctionbased on an SC method; calculating consequent parameters of a fuzzy rulefunction using aleast-squares method; revising an FNN creep prediction model with themembershipfunction and the consequent parameters; evaluating uncertainty of the FNNcreepprediction model, if it is determined that the degree of fitness of thefitness function isgreater than the predetermined value; and calculating a complete FNN creeppredictionmodel.
