The invention relates to device which allows cushioned standing, sitting, or gripping, comprising a carrier element (1) and a cover element (2) arranged on the carrier element (1), said cover element at least partially surrounding the carrier element (1), wherein the cover element (2) is designed and equipped to elastically deform when a user (5) applies pressure (P) on a surface of the cover element (2). The invention is characterized in that at least one hollow space (3) is formed between the carrier element (1) and the cover element (2), said space being filled with a gas.
