DEVICE FOR HEATING VEHICLE WHEEL ARCHES AND WHEEL ARCH LINERS

The invention relates to the field of car service equipment and can be used in particular as a device for heating vehicle wheel arches or wheel arch liners. The technical result is that of preventing water-containing dirt and a mixture of snow and ice from freezing onto heatable surfaces, and also increasing operating reliability and the efficiency with which the wheel arches or wheel arch liners are cleaned. For this purpose, in a device which comprises a base with a configuration that corresponds to a part or the whole of the surface of the wheel arches or wheel arch liners, a plate of an electrical heating unit is arranged on said base, with elements for fastening said plate to the base, and said plate being connected to a unit for controlling the electric power fed thereto. The base can be in the form of heatable protective wheel arch liners, and can also be made of a deformable material which is attached to the surface of the wheel arches or wheel arch liners, duplicating the configuration thereof. The control unit can be provided with an electric fuse or an automatic cut-out switch for a power supply circuit if permissible current values are exceeded. The control unit can also be in the form of a power regulator.
